This morning, Aston Villa released their away kit for the upcoming 2022/23 season ahead of their final two pre season friendlies against Manchester United and Stade Rennais.
You would think that we will see the shirt being worn in one of those final pre season games, maybe even tomorrow against United…
As for the kit, it’s very nice. Last season’s away shirt, made by Kappa, was very nice and it would have took some topping from any new kit manufacturer, and Castore have definitely done well in designing this shirt as it is very smart.
The fact that the badge, kit manufacturer and shirt sponsor are all claret makes it look so tidy, and the little claret trims going across the traps, on the sleeve and on the collar look very nice too. The different shades of blue going down in stripes are very nice, and overall, it’s just like the home kit. Simple but effective.
A lot of people on Twitter have said that the shirt needs to be worn with claret shorts as a pose to blue as people believe it looks much smarter… do you agree?
To summarise, a very nice kit, and hopefully one in which we can either secure European football or win some silverware! Better. Never. Stops.
