Southampton (A) Match Preview

Villa will want to put things right after their poor performance and defeat away at Turf Moor on Wednesday night and the quick turnaround could ba a good thing for Villa.

In Southampton, Villa face a team that has lost their last 2 in the league, so could be a good time to play them. Although there last league Victory at St Mary's was against Liverpool.

In Previous Visits to St Marys, it has not been a happy hunting ground with Villa winning just one out of their last 4 visits, conceding 14 goals in the process including a 6-1 defeat, with 5 goals coming in the first 38 mins.

Team News:

Hause is still out for Villa, Wesley getting closer, Sanson will travel with the squad.

For Southampton, Romeu and Vestergaard are doubts.

I think if Villa are going to get anything out of this one, we have to take our chances. Against Burnley Villa got punished because they didn't take their chances, and it has happened quite a few times this season, it is a habit that Villa need to get out of if they are going to beat Southampton.

Predicted Lineup:

Firstly this seasons gone really well we’ve played some great football. If it wasn’t for injuries to many key players I still believe we’d be in the top 8. But now with those key players returning I really believe we’ve got a chance to kick on again. Villa are a tough side, but feel like on our day we can beat anyone. if we play to the tempo we did during the first half last time out against you I think we will win, anything less and it will be a tricky evening. Predicted line up:

McCarthy, Diallo, Stephens, Bednarek, Bertrand, Romeu, JWP, Armstrong, Walcott, Ings and Adams.

I think the score will be a 2-1 Saints win.

Score Predictions:

Kian Davies: 4-1

The AVFC Faithful: 1-1

Jordan Page: 2-2

Sam Walker: 2-2

Louis Delaney: 0-2
