On Sunday evening, the "rumoured" Aston Villa shirts for the 2022/23 season were leaked on social media.
These are the shirts that were leaked. It’s fair to say they have received mix opinions from the Villa fans.
Home – Simple, But Good
Personally, I’m a huge fan of simple shirts, and this is indeed a simple shirt. It’s exactly what it says on the tin. Claret shirt, blue sleeves. Big fan of the v neck too. I personally prefer it to this season’s, but that’s just my opinion.
Away – Light Blue Or White?
There’s been a bit of a debate on social media as to whether this shirt is light blue or white. I’m personally seeing light blue. As for the design, it’s very nice. Again, simple, but looks good. Big fan.
Third – Just Unreal.
The leaked third shirt is a thing of beauty. I’d say it’s the best shirt since… this season’s away one. But, it’s still a very nice shirt and one of the best in recent history. Not a huge fan of the 2021/22 third shirt, however this one is quite frankly astonishing. However, one thing we must keep in mind is that the last time we had a yellow and black shirt, we got relegated. Let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself.
Goalkeeper – Beautiful.
The two leaked goalkeeper shirts are both very nice too. One thing Villa rarely fail to mess up are the goalkeeper shirts. They’re always very nice. Can’t wait to see the beautiful Argentine himself wearing them.
Expectations weren’t too high for Castore, but, they’ve done well for themselves. Hats off to them. Can’t wait to see us play in them next season and hopefully have a successful season.
